Explain How Rexulti Compares to Other Atypical Antipsychotics
Rexulti (REK-suhl-tee, brexpiprazole) will be another oral atypical antipsychotic for treating schizophrenia in adults.
It's a partial dopamine agonist similar to aripiprazole (Abilify)...but with slightly LESS dopamine agonist activity. This may lead to fewer dopamine-related side effects, such as akathisia or restlessness.
Rexulti is given once daily...like most other oral atypicals.
