SmithKline Beecham is introducing Typherix, a new IM vaccine for typhoid fever...for patients 2 years of age and older.
It costs less than the other IM typhoid vaccine, Typhim Vi.
Typherix also comes with 2 needle sizes...5/8" and 1". The larger needle penetrates the muscle better in adults. Typhim Vi only comes with a 5/8" needle.
