Please see updated information from Health Canada concerning the effectiveness of emergency contraceptives in heavier women.

Health Canada will be scrutinizing whether levonorgestrel emergency contraceptives (Plan B, etc) are effective in heavier women.

European regulators are now warning that these are less effective in women ≥ 75 kg...and NOT effective in women ≥ 80 kg.

This is probably due to lower hormone levels in heavier women.
